Amazing Times
It is cold here in Wisconsin this morning. Sitting at my computer, I’m having a conversation with friends and colleagues literally around the world.
Warming me is a fabulous espresso made from beans grown and harvested by farmers I've never met in Sumatra.
My house is warm, no pipes frozen despite my home's age well past 40, and heated by a furnace with zero effort on my part.
I don't have to get out in the cold; even if I did, I have a car that starts well in these temps and heated seats to take the edge off.
Sometimes it is hard to see all of the wonders and blessings we experience. This morning was a good reminder.
On top of being grateful, something to consider, almost all of this was created by an enterprising person, engineer, craftsman, or business living their Ikigai.
Cheers to the little things!
The little things are the BIG things to me!
Probably the starting point of gratitude is learning to pause and notice the "little things" we take for granted.
