My maternal grandmother used to say, “I have a notion,” for when she had an idea or an inspiration.
The idea of a Sunday notion spoke to me today.
Here’s one for you to ponder…
It is amazing the extraordinary things that happen to you and what becomes possible when you decide to live by your own definition of success.

My “own definition of success” is a phrase that stirs my thoughts. I don’t know if I have ever had one of my own or if I have, it’s far too ethereal for the left brain worlds.
I’ve accomplished that of my parents (getting good grades, graduating, creating a life I can pay for myself).
I’ve accomplished that of friends (shown up for them at important times)
I’ve accomplished that of many professors (memorizing what they deemed important, finishing a quiz with 100% correct)
I’ve accomplished many a small success (I won the winter contest against the digging squirrel with the scent of peppermint and vinegar so that I have many pots of blooming tulips)
Yet for myself? It seems my successes have few measurable outcomes.
To be kind, to serve, to walk more gently every day..
