There have been many times in my life I was in over my head.
When I was 16 years old, I walked into a radio and television station and asked for a job. They gave me one.
I was in WAY over my head though ultimately, I grew into the job.
Years later, I joined the Marine Corps. Over and over during my four-plus years as a Marine, I was in over my head.
Ultimately, I grew into each new role/rank and kept growing all the way to sergeant.
I’ve gotten married, had children, run marathons, and created a business…all over my head when I began.
Each one has enriched my life.
When we stretch and explore possibilities, incredible things start to fall into place.
Embracing our Ikigai by getting in over our heads a bit we naturally reframe our focus and energy; doors begin to open we didn't even know existed.
When we do it joyfully amazing things happen.
Yes accepting duties and opportunities that may stretch us is good...we may want to watch the point that it is too much and breaks that elastic band ;) Nice stories and good to reach out of the comfort zone!
