Yesterday I had an opportunity to practice a new attitude I’ve adopted.
See this cool cartoon from Hugh MacLeod and his Gapingvoid Design Team. It might look familiar as this was sent out in a post yesterday afternoon.
Here’s the problem…

It was today’s morning email post.
Something went wrong in the system, and for whatever reason, subscribers received it yesterday afternoon instead of this morning.
This is an important story I’m sharing, and I want everyone to see it.
I was frustrated and a bit angry. Who am I kidding? I started to get furious.
Then, I recalled my new approach.
Everything is Working Out For Me
I’m looking at whatever happens through the lens that everything is working out for me.
Perhaps someone who desperately needs the message wouldn’t have seen it in the morning. Maybe the only way they would see it was for the email to drop in the afternoon the day before.
I have no idea.
What I do know is it is going to work out because things are happening ‘for’ me rather than ‘to’ me.
