This week’s Coffee Contemplation is pondering the act of waiting on the why.
Many times in my life, I’ve engaged in some activity with my whole heart, believing at the time that it was the right thing to do, only to have it come to nothing.
It is only later that I learn the why. And not every time, though often enough to keep me doing those things I feel called to do.
Few things in life are an absolute waste of time if approached with purposeful intent, even if the exact reasons for doing so may not be fully understood at the outset.
Reflection:
🌱 Think of a time when you poured your heart into something that seemingly led nowhere. What did you learn about yourself through that experience that you carry with you today?
🌱 Recall a moment when an apparent “dead end” in your life later revealed itself as preparation for something meaningful. How did this change your perspective on setbacks or unexpected endings?
🌱 When have you felt called to pursue something without fully understanding why? Looking back, how did trusting that inner voice serve your larger journey?
🌱 If you trusted that few things are an absolute waste when approached with intention, what would you be willing to try or commit to more fully in your life right now?
🌱 What are you being invited to do today that you might be hesitating to embrace because you can't see the full picture?
That’s your Coffee Contemplation.
Quest well!
