I accomplished something the other day...
I really didn't want to paint my house. I wanted to do a thousand other things. I saw it as a big job and felt overwhelmed.
Here's how I did it.
I committed to doing small things and only those things.
I told myself, "I'm going to remove the brass numbers and flag holder."
✅ Done.
Not so bad. I'm going to get all the materials together, and that is all.
✅ Done.
Not so bad. I will commit to getting this small portion done by the front door.
✅ Done.
Well, that only took a few minutes, and the stuff is out; I'm going to do the other side of the door.
You see where this is going. I ended up doing the entire front of the house. I have been fighting this for weeks, always seeing it as a 'big' job.
Breaking it down into chunks made each one manageable, and I could see myself doing it.
I eliminated feelings of fear and being overwhelmed.
This process is known as Personal Kaizen.
I love the concept of Personal Kaizen! Thanks. And good luck with the rest of the little bits of the house.
Personal Improvement (Personal Kaizen)....yes a concept that should be a habit for all.
“We are what we repeatedly do…excellence, therefore, isn’t an act, but a habit and life isn’t a series of events, but an ongoing process of self-definition.” —Aristotle
