Experience Your Ikigai
Experiment, test, and try to 'experience' your Ikigai rather than wait for it to come to you.
Experience
We learn about ourselves when we experience things, uncovering our authentic selves only by living.
I’ve shared the idea that the process of uncovering your Ikigai requires you to experiment, test, and try to 'experience' your Ikigai rather than wait for it to come to you.
The word experience comes from the Latin words "ex" meaning 'out of' + "peritus" meaning "try and test".
This also relates to the words 'expert' and 'experiment'. Viewing experiences as experiments - a way of trying things - helps eliminate the fear of failure. We can be open to discovery and understanding.
We become more ‘expert’ in understanding ourselves as we experiment and learn.
This leads us to new questions we can ask right now.
While I am learning more and more about myself each day, putting in place new habits that I truly believe will help me live more vibrantly moving forward, there is no substitute for continual action.
I’ve heard it said, and certainly experienced this...but when we try and resist something again and again the Universe seems to have a way of ensuring you are aware that change is needed. It will keep leaving clues until you get the message. Message was received louder than ever yesterday.
