Experience Your Ikigai
Experiment, test, and try to 'experience' your Ikigai rather than wait for it to come to you.
We learn about ourselves when we experience things, uncovering our authentic selves only by living.
I’ve shared the idea that the process of uncovering your Ikigai requires you to experiment, test, and try to 'experience' your Ikigai rather than wait for it to come to you.
The word experience comes from the Latin words "ex" meaning 'out of' + "peritus" meaning "try and test".
This also relates to the words 'expert' and 'experiment'. Viewing experiences as experiments - a way of trying things - helps eliminate the fear of failure. We can be open to discovery and understanding.
We become more ‘expert’ in understanding ourselves as we experiment and learn.
This leads us to new questions we can ask right now.
🌀 Reflection:
🌱 Am I enjoying what I’m experiencing right now?
🌱 What is still in store for me?
🌱 What would I like to be in store for me?

Great topic and also relating words to their ROOTS like in Latin gives us some history and perspective David so thank you for heading down that path, even for a while! What I get from this is that words are important yet deeds are more so. Words that also comes to mind are > Curious & Courage! C&C not the Whiskey....but the impetus and direction to learn in order to grow! We talk so much of mind-set and personal development which are the cobblestones that pave the road yet without C&C and an altruistic purpose we are on the wrong road(s) which lacks efficiency and effectiveness to a worthy mission and legacy we all should strive for!
