Having Time for the Important Things
A lesson my grandson taught me.

The best conversations happen in the car, at least for my grandson and me.
One such conversation occurred last week as we passed several houses with political signs in the yards.
He wondered if the current president would run again, and the previous president would run against him.
The kid is only seven and already thinking things through to that level.
We talked about it a bit, and then I joked that perhaps I should run for president.
“You can’t do that. Then you wouldn’t have any time to spend with me.”
Thus ended my campaign for president.
I have far more important things to do.
