I have a habit that sometimes drives my wife crazy...
Some of you are thinking this could go anywhere. 🤣
I believe you should always stop at a kid's lemonade stand. You never know what encouragement it might be for them to be bold and try things in life.
Sunday was the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race.
My belief around lemonade stands was tested a few years ago when I attended the race. It is a fabulous event, purported to be the largest outdoor sporting event in the world with over 300,000 in attendance.
As you can imagine, that's a lot of people to get into a race track. The neighborhoods around the track become temporary parking and vending locations.
I must have walked by dozens of kid's lemonade stands on the way into the track.
I simply couldn't buy from them all.
But after the race, I had to buy from one stand in particular.
Three little girls with their mom nearby, were so energetic and enthusiastic, even after a long day of sales.
I had noticed them on the way in and looked for them as we headed back to our car.
They thanked me for my purchase and then regaled their mom with stories of their accomplishments for the day.
Encouraging kids is one way to help them discover their Ikigai.
🌱 Who encouraged you and what did you learn from it about yourself?
🌱 How might you encourage someone in uncovering their Ikigai?
I love that you do this so much! I am not surprised at all...but it is super heartwarming!
