David 👏...this reminds me of the concept of "rolling with resistance" that first found me...or rather I, it...in the motivational-interviewing-verse! The "obstacles" are our chance...to embrace the opportunities🙏👩🍳🤌
My reframing for disappointmentss, especially when someone apologizes for something beyond their control (a late arriving airplane, a miscooked meal, or a long line at a checkout), is to look at it this way:
1. No one died or was seriously injured.
2. It is best dealt with calmly, for both may sanity and that of the other person.
3. The statement, which I offer the person at the other end of the disappointment is, "If this is the worst thing that happens today, it will have been a pretty good day."
Great topic and story David...in my life I have allowed the Holy Spirit to direct my daily life with examples both written statements that I passed on to others, challenges turned into learning moments and adventures as you described with others and at the end of the day recall how we remained calm and not emotional in the moment of challenges and passionate in the resolution to act above it all and learn! Semper ad maiora! Always to greater things!

And may I ask for the wisdom of a sage here...what business model does that fall into? I'm feeling stuck and very green in this realm 🤷🏻♀️
If I understand your question...those obstacles are the opportunity. Many people start a business by asking 'What job is someone trying to do?'
Here is some background on that approach.

Thank you...that language helps very much!
Excellent! Glad it was helpful.

Terrific examples of extending grace. 🙏🏻

A spiritual equivalent of going with the flow. 🙏🏻
The flow in this case is not the populus....but Spiritus Santus!
We keep moving, growing forward... passing the test of change with an overall positive reaction and outcome (I mean, come on, waffle fries!)
I know, right?! Waffle fries! 🍟 😉
