Conversations
Whether in my coaching or casual conversations, I find many people have a lot of noise in their lives.
Sometimes literal, other times figurative.
As an engineer, I worked on radio frequency devices, and when there was too much background noise, you couldn't receive the signal.
Same 'in life.'
Getting the noise down is key.
If you eliminate the noise, the 'signal' for happy living is out there.
To extend the metaphor, we are the sound engineers of our lives. We can decide to turn down the volume of noise and turn up the sound of Ikigai.
Thank you. Eye opener to the sources that help support procrastination and avoidance.
As an engineer you can appreciate the concept of filtering and this too we must do to filter out the distractions in our life to focus and amplify the clear messages we need to hear. Like any warnings...a horn of a car to warn of a danger, the whistle from a train at a road crossing, the mother warning a child of something harming we much we sharp and aware of danger and signs and at the same time not have those noises that overshadow our purpose, passion and fulfillment that muffles the good sounds and lessons we need to hear!
