Sometimes I need time to reflect intensely on something and then sit with it again for brief periods over a day or two.
A friend has a term for the process that I like…
“Saturate, then sit.”
The mind must work through its process, and if we try to force it, we’ll get more superficial results.
Occasionally superficial is all we need, though it’s often worth waiting for more.
Sitting with it multiple times is like co-designing with two great minds. Each session contributes a new idea or insight to the more extensive design.
A single session alone doesn’t provide the space and time to let things percolate.
Better to have two shorter ones with time to allow this fantastic process to work.
When you make space for this, it almost happens by itself.
🌀 Is there something you need to work through?
🌱 Try breaking the thinking into multiple sessions over a few days.
🌿 Journal the insights daily.
🌱 Watch how it evolves, and the co-creation takes place.
Quality vs. quantity, depth vs. breadth, substance vs. paltriness, intentional vs. accidental, growth vs. fixed. Thanks for your wise reflections!
