You don't have to know everything or have all the answers.
All you need is:
- Curiosity and the desire to learn more
- Willingness to admit you don't know the answer
- The ability to ask questions
🌀 Remember, if you can ask yourself questions, you can uncover your Ikigai, even if you have no idea what you are called to do today.
Even the great thinker Albert Einstein said…“Curiosity is more important than knowledge.”
He didn't confine his curiosity to the boundaries of science alone instead seeking to fathom the deeper mysteries of the universe as well.
"The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science.
He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: His eyes are closed."
Albert Einstein
People often reference only the first sentence in this insight from him. I find there is a much deeper meaning derived from reading his entire comment.
Mysterious and mystical experiences are all around us every day.
I have the good fortune of having a curious grandson who reminds me of this frequently.
“Grandpa, why do the leaves change color and fall off?”
Is there something mysterious and mystical right in front of you?
Perhaps there is something new and mysterious on your Ikigai journey.
🌀Reflection:
Are there areas of your life where you find it difficult to admit that you don't have all the answers?
How might embracing the vulnerability of not having the answer open doors for learning and growth?
How has curiosity played a role in your personal and professional growth? Reflect on instances where your curiosity has led you to new insights or opportunities.
What would it mean to experience the mysterious in your life?
🌀 Can you articulate your Ikigai in a single sentence?
Having an Ikiverse clarifies how to live out your Ikigai.
✅ Being able to state it invites others to support you in your Ikiquest.
Curiosity and openness with flexibility to want to learn for the sake of advancing is key!
