Picture note: My kids had those bobbleheads made of me as Superman and Captain America.
It's been proven that when kids see themselves as 'heroic' they behave differently.
Their image of what a hero does guides their honesty, patience, and perseverance.
The same is true for adults though our filters, built up over time, diminish the power of play.
Let's try something together.
You, the everyday person you are right now, are a hero.
Think about it for a moment and tell me, what's your superpower?
Not x-ray vision, something you are really good at. I'll share first to get us started.
My own superpower is the ability to improve anything. Individual, team, process, product, company. Whatever application, I have an innate ability to see a path to improvement.
Understanding my superpower helped lead me to a clear understanding of my Ikigai.
Ability to bring people together from different walk of life, professions, cultures etc. Help them awake their own superheroes and join forces to coexist as a team. This is of absolute pleasure to me, and it comes so easy to do....Love the bubble head
While not all advice we receive from others is or will be of a positive use to us (it’s up to us to discern that), I think there is merit in listening to how others see us.
To that end, I have heard many times from others that my serene, calming presence puts them at ease.
