Even though this picture has the four-circle Venn instead of the three circles I teach (see below), it is a good picture for today’s reflection.
I mean, it has coffee in it, after all.
What is your rich life?
Someone asked me this question recently. The idea prompts you to come up with the things you want.
Here are some answers this person has gotten from others:
Sleep in each day or no alarm
Travel wherever I want
Buy all new socks each year (weird, but I kind of like this one)
You get the idea.
While it is a fun exercise, it assumes you must be rich to do these things.
I like a different question.
What is your Ikigai life?
It might be the same thing or a whole host of other things. You don’t have to be rich to live them out.
For example, I’m not rich and don’t wake up to an alarm.
When you know what you want in life, possibilities and ways open up that you didn’t expect.
Instead of needing to be rich, focus on this.
Ikigai is about experiencing your essence and purpose in harmony with whatever you do.
🌀What is the life that includes experiencing your essence and purpose in whatever you do?
Imagine it right now.
What does it look like? What things are you doing? What things aren’t you doing? Who are you doing these things with?
