To Make Your Soul Grow
How exploring creative interests and activities sheds a light on your Ikigai.
I want to share with you one of my favorite insights about the process of uncovering Ikigai.
Your Ikigai is already there.
You can't miss it or mess it up.
You don’t have to do anything to earn it; the only task is to uncover your Ikigai.
You do that uncovering by trying and doing things, learning a bit more about yourself.
I like what Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. said about creativity that applies to this idea.
audio narration by David Marlow
“Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow.”
Exploring these and other activities for the sake of exploration help reveal 'what's inside you' and sheds light on your Ikigai.

🌀Reflection: What could you explore that might help uncover a bit of your Ikigai today?
🌱 Bonus Insight: People often get stuck on the 'thing' they should be doing instead of the 'things' they should be exploring.

"To experience becoming."
