Work Hard, But Not Every Day.
Running has taught me a great deal. One of those things is the importance of pace and rest.
Geoffrey Kamworor is a world-class distance runner. You might think competing at the highest levels requires killing himself with training.
Instead, he encourages runners to “Work hard, but not every day.”
Beyond Running
I agree with his philosophy and apply it beyond running.
Sometimes that hard work is a diligent sustained effort, and other times it is a regular effort made hard by circumstances.
Either way, you should not work hard all the time.
It’s been a crazy week. Rest is in order and I'm taking the day off from hard work.
I am going for a run, however. I mean, after all, it is snowing, and that is fun.
This is great advice David, thank you!
