Yesterday was alsi a rainy day with loud thunder and fierce lightning. My dog Morri was very scared that he hid under my couch.

That was really an artful rest

Thanks and have a great day David.

Enjoyed reading your stories

This is so true David.. However, we (or perhaps I) feel very guilty about taking this time out to rest.. i feel i am leaving a lot of things undone and therefore not making progress...

It seems many of us feel that guilt. I wonder where it comes from.

“Listening is about being present, not just about being quiet.” -Krista Tippett Allowing ourselves the time and peace to reflect is like taking a spiritual walk in the woods that is not finite like in nature, which is also good, but to a place that is infinite...our soul which is the core of where we evolve and can develop a relationship with the Divine! Now who really doesn't want a relationship like that :) Our quest is to allow permission to let God love us and speak to us! Oh...yes torrential downpours in the New England area yesterday some breaks today and more to come...hey nature has it's way like the wind. We do not know where it comes and whence it goes! John 3:8

This is a good reminder I need to read/listen to Krista Tippett more. Always great stuff.

Walking the infinite. I like that.

It's interesting. I was talking to someone about this two days ago, about "non-doing."

He went on a dark retreat in Guatemala last year, and he said that in the dark retreat, there was one thing you couldn't do, and that's "go outside." When it's one thing to "not do," that's easy. But at home, there's a million pulls to do a million things.

I know when I'm in my space, all I want to do is put my hands on shit and tinker. If I can't go outside I'm tinkering more. Have to be in motion. Turn on the TV. Turn it off. Write something. Listen to music. Check my phone, again, again, again, rub one out, pee for the 80th time, text someone...

I mean it goes on and on

"Make good use of your time."

I just watch myself fiddling like an ant building a hill. Wondering if God can see the difference.
