There is much good there David....putting things of value first is the best for sustainable joy. Most athletics will say like runners that > focus, courage, agility, stamina and fortitude is important to maintain an effective run. What is left out most of the time be it sports or any area of commitment in life is the core which means> Old French cor, coeur "core of fruit, heart of lettuce," literally "heart," from Latin cor "heart." If we place God at the Heart or Core of our day as #1 we strive towards perfection (not necessarily beating up ourselves) but have the mission of TRUTH of all things (wisdom) and Agape Love towards others as our focus so it is more than just "a run" but a lifetime quest towards our free will aligning with a divine vision of our best selves....at the summit of that mountain is peace, joy and true enlightenment!
