Ikigai Thought for Today: Beans and Other Wonders
Noticing the wonders and blessings we experience.
It is -11°F (-24°C) here in Wisconsin this morning. You may be experiencing something similar or at least colder than normal.
I'm sitting at my computer having conversations with friends and colleagues around the world. Warming me is a fabulous espresso made from beans grown and harvested by farmers I've never met in Guatemala.
My house is comfortable, no pipes frozen despite my home's age well past 40, heated by a furnace with zero effort on my part. I don't have to get out in the cold but if I did, I have a car that starts well even in these temps and heated seats to take the edge off the chill.
Sometimes it is hard to see all of the wonders and blessings we experience. This morning was a good reminder.
Quest well.
indeed.
What’s up with that yellow line? Never see it in my local India grown beans.
