What’s up with that yellow line? Never see it in my local India grown beans.

I notice it only with good quality Guatemala beans. Maybe it’s a variety.

I read The Rational Optimist ny Matt Riddley a few years ago and it opened my eyes to how prosperous we are today (even with all our challenges) compared to our ancestors.

I have a gas furnace, but we prefer the wood stove. I can tell when it is time to add some wood because my little dog comes and stands at my door. All it has to do is wait till it drops a couple of degrees and she is at the door trying to use the Lazer eyes and try to bore a hole in my skull it is time to add wood.

Where I live in Canada we get an average of 4 snow days a year and our average January temps remain above freezing. Just sayin'.

Good points that technology and great coffee ☕️ are wonderful! In the Northeast it is cold 🥶 as well but may be quite different with snow in FL 😉 we need to remain grateful as you said and count our blessings! Comfort is only really beneficial if we strive towards higher ideals yet know labor is also good in bringing us close to God…not technology!
