5 Simple Practices to Increase Moments of Mindfulness
Here are 5 simple ways to be more mindful.
π± Practice 1: Mindful Wakeup-Start with a Purpose
Upon waking, take a moment to breathe. Sit up slowly and connect with your body
Take 3 long, deep, nourishing breaths
Ask yourself: βWhat is my intention for today?β Here are a few sample questions to ask yourself about your intention.
π How might I show up today to have the best impact on the things most important to me?
π What do I need to take better care of myself?
π How might I practice compassion for others and myself?
π What can I do in service to my Ikigai?
π± Practice 2: Mindful Eating-Enjoy Every Mouthful
Before taking a bite take a breath.
Eat 80% by mindfully choosing to eat less than full
Focus on each bite. Slow down, and savor each bite while continuing to be aware of your breathing as you eat.
π± Practice 3: Mindful Pause-Rewire Your Brain
Power of the pause. Take a moment before each activity to stop and just breathe every once in a while, before you do things.
Give yourself positive triggers. An example, trip over what you want to do.
If you intend to do some exercise put your gym bag in the middle of your floor so you canβt miss it as you walk by. It will provide a positive trigger for your mind
