Patience
Let's consider something today that none of us has enough of in our life...Patience
I’ve had the opportunity to pick my grandson up from school since kindergarten. He and I like to have conversations while driving in the car. For whatever reason, he likes to tell me things when we are in the car more than when we are at home.
Stories or, in this case, insights or observations he has made.
Waiting for Christmas
A while back, he said without prompt, "It’s going to be Halloween soon, it’s at the bottom of the month. Then comes Christmas. You have to be patient for things you want. Being patient for things you want is a good thing. Like Christmas or Halloween, you've got to be patient."
He was five, at the time. I wish I had even an inkling of the value of patience when I was 5 or 25, or 35.
🌀Reflection
🌱 When did you learn the value of patience?
🌱 When has having patience paid off for you?
🌱 What are you dealing with right now that is perhaps testing your patience?
The bottom of the month… and being patient for it. Be still my heart.💕 and love to your grandson
I remember one time in a store and I overheard a mom and her son.
He was really young, maybe 5.
There were Christmas decorations in the store and she commented,
“Geez, Christmas comes so fast”
The kid said, “ really, cause it feels like a year to me?”
He was serious and accurate!
