The easiest moments to miss are often those that have meant the most to me. A smile, an exhale a sound where there was none...

Experiencing the deepest truths and recognizing connection within the smaller intervals of nuance is something I'm pretty sure I have a habit of. I will definitely be taking more conscious notice of it now.

I feel like every time I get curious about a subtle nuance and decide to pause or simply follow this nuance for the tiniest moment, I am usually about to feel a sudden glimpse of joy!

David, thank you for reminding us of the importance of nuance! For me, nuance is one side the ability to be present enough to notice the different from the norm, the average, the mediocre, the common. It brings beauty, flavor, depth and meaning to life. I would compare it on one side to listening to a jazz improvisation - the beauty of the experience comes from the unexpected turns and variations rather than the core of the melody. It is also about intimacy because you cannot notice the nuances unless you allow yourself to get close to something or someone. That brings up for me a favorite moment from the movie Good Will Hunting - the hero played by Robin Williams was sharing about the small things in his wife's personality and her imperfections that were the most delicious aspects of their togetherness. Thank you for the opportunity to remember these aspects of being fully alive!

I like the connection to jazz Natalia. jazz is beautiful because of the incongruity, the unexpected, the beautifully perfect imperfection.

To sit in stillness, to fall in love with the mundane, to send gratitude to every living thing within our sphere.
