Love this David! This story reminds me of my MiMi (maternal grandmother rooted in Iowa) & the invitation to curiosity she often invited us to sample as children with a spoon of a "no thank you helping" on the plate re: any food declined as kids. Now my sister loves tomatoes & food became part of my palette for creating a business!
Also curiously timed to this musing...last night's luminous, full moon...she loved to remind me how I'd exclaim excitement at the moon as a little kid when she held me in her arms at night under the stars during our annual week-long visits to the midwest. I now think of her every time I see the moon & in some ways, feel closer to her than I did before she passed away 🙏
Such a splendid memory and grandparent. I truly believe those moments are why humans live as long as we do. To provide memories and unconditional love to the next generation.
OMGosh I fall even deeper in love with your grandson with every story. “Not yet” is a perfect answer to so many of life’s questions.
wow. wise before his time.
He is indeed. Of course I might be a tiny bit biased. 😉🙏🏻
With good reason!
What a lovely illustration of the growth mindset, expressed naturally. That sense of future possibilities stretching out endlessly in front of us...
Limitless possibilities stretching endlessly before us…marvelous!
