audio narration by David Marlow
I’m pausing to ponder something for today’s Ikigai Thought. It's a quote from Leonard Nimoy. You may remember him as Spock on Star Trek, but he was also a philosopher and a poet. He said…
"A life is like a garden; perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory." Leonard Nimoy

🌀 Reflection:
🌱 What does Nimoy mean by life is like a garden?
🌱 What of the perfect moments? Are they enough to counter the imperfect ones in between?
🌱 How much of a garden is ‘planned’ versus unplanned? Grown versus growing?
🌀Bonus reflection!
Going deeper, ponder this…
How about the idea of life being organic?
A garden and a patch of weeds are both organic. The difference is the garden is intentional.
Quest well!
Blast! You just reminded me I have to mow the lawn today.
Reminds me that Scripture sometimes compares this world to God's garden.
And supports the organic message as well, with humans returning to the dust from whence we once came.
In gardens, and life, organic mulch, compost and other such can support the development of new life. Lots to think about, thanks.
