I could have written those words. I wrote several poems about it that I was planning to publish. This is the first one I did publish:

Sun is shining differently

It is bright but mellow

Bright but soft

but calmed

Like the

end

of

the summer.

"The season of now with good and evil, shadow and light." the more we look closely, there was no good or evil, no shadow or light! Love this post (and Fall).

Great outlook on these winters I’ve been in northern Wisconsin since 2011 about three years ago. I started to get sick of winter. I do enjoy the fall. I enjoy painting those leaves. I’m not a good painter, but they do inspire the eyes with their brilliance.

I get to go visit family during the holidays about a month and a half. However, Someone’s gotta look after these big mansions up here and that’s what I do. Matter fact last couple days have been warm here and I get to go swimming this evening. The water will be a cold bath, maybe slightly warmer , but I will dip in and then go fishing.

I need to embrace the winter.

That's a fascinating set of experiences. So glad you shared your story. Here's to embracing all seasons...even winter.

Nice seasonal reflection as we in the New England region are experiencing the same change of season. I too have embraced that there is nothing I can do about the changes except in my attitudes towards them....with the applicable seasonal changes and lessons. Bringing it the coffee level as we both enjoy coffee, maybe you just a bit more David :) if we overdid our intake or enjoyment of one particular convenient type we would not expand into the many other flavors and regions the coffee beans are grown, available to be explored. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 comes to mind....peace be with you and appreciate the post!

Did we talk about this last year? If not, I'm here this year to say "I feel you."

Love this in so many ways.

Delighted to see the red leaf. Fall foliage, Fall in general, is the only thing I miss since leaving the American northeast. Be happy to see more pictures as the season turns.

Here we have far too much summer for me. But, I also have made a conscious effort in the past few years to be grateful for whatever season it is, and find good in it. It's been good for me in more ways than less stress over the weather.
