The poem for me is one of remembrance, security in past events and being aware of oneself by looking in the mirror and transforming ourselves each day anew. Now for the consummate poet and topic> “Now, God be praised, that to believing souls

Gives light in darkness, comfort in despair.”

― William Shakespeare, Henry VI

To me, this poem symbolises the majestic act of finally seeing and accepting yourself for who you are, not what you thought or hoped or wished you could or should have been.

It's about realizing that at the end of the day, the only one that truly stays with you - is just you!

So learn to show love to yourself, just as you would a friend.

Show patience to yourself, as you would a friend.

Learn to give rest to yourself, as you would ask your friend to rest..
