Meaning-making is an integral skill noted by psychologists to build neurological resistance and respond to external stressor so they don't become internal anxiety. Events need not import implications of crisis on their own. We can decide what they mean to us, and how they will stimulate action to something new or better.

Choosing more of our own influencers can have a stabilizing effect with that.
