I LOVE that Cocteau quote! I've always felt that to some extent, but it wasn't until I really leaned in to where I had come from, and what experience had made me into, that I was really able to dump any regret and use what I had as a treasure chest.
ps - wherever that road in the photo is, man would I have lived to get my roadster on it! 😉 )
I often say that there are are many things I would rather not have experienced or done, but they are a part of what made me the person I am today. Without those instances, I would be different, maybe someone I was less happy being. I have come a long way, and I like the person I am becoming (it's a process that isn't finished yet).
First of all I like your friend mentioning God and plans not being in a straight line because unlike what we learned in math of the shortest distance between two items is a straight line, life is not math! Also I agree that what we have done in the past are not viewed as failures but learning moments if we chose to see it that way. Where we are at now is like sewing a blanket and the fibers and strokes to connect the fabric adds up to the warm blanket we finally make. I trust in God and yet keep living life knowing there is a co-pilot and navigator to help me!

Right? I think it is Romania. Not sure why the tag didn't appear. As you say, that could be a fun drive in the right car.

Better every day and not done yet. It's a beautiful journey you are on Michael. Keep going, the world needs your voice.
