Hi David, I love this question of real work. So far, I would say that I the most real and important work I have done is, with my husband's help, to raise my daughter to be a fulfilled and joyful adult. Also, through my teaching career, I have brought a love of the English language to hundreds of students. But I'm not done yet. My new coaching career is taking off and my writing continues to be a source of great joy to me. I feel incredibly fortunate in having enjoyed a lifetime of meaningful experiences. And I am always pondering about the depths of our human experience. I love your post and the poem. Thank you.
Very insightful and thought-provoking poem David. Your message has deep impact on me because I was reflecting for quite sometime now since my retirement and ask my self this question, Is my real work done now?" "What comes next?"
"What's my next journey, O Lord? Please guide me. You are my righteous path, please don't lead me to the wrong oneπ.
Still I have to move on and continue. Where it leads, I am still searching.πππ
I love this quote. It is so appropriate for where we are all being led right now. Instead of pushing the rock uphill it is more about how to float downstream which teaches us trust, letting go and following our inner knowing. And it seems these are the ingredients for living and being LOVE.

I love the connection to floating downstream. Embracing flow and inner knowing. ππ»
This is so powerful and deep, David. It opens ways of seeing that will take the rest of our lives to comprehend. Thank you πΏ
The rest of our lives at least. ππ»
That is indeed a beautiful thing, Chuck.
It's a worthy theme my friend.
