I keep a ‘thought library’ of ideas, quotes, and insights.
It is my habit to randomly pull on one of those ideas I’ve saved to ponder.
I invite you to join me with the one I’m contemplating today.
“We cannot simply sit and stare at our wounds forever.
We must stand up and move on to the next action.”
Haruki Murakami
🌀 These questions come to my mind.
What does Murakami mean by ‘move on to the next action?’
Is that different from simply moving on?
Is ‘standing’ an action or an attitude?
Sitting and staring are actions, aren't they? Or are they?

I've only just read this post but, there may be a reason behind this. I had a mild heart attack 2yrs ago on this date. Since then, I've always felt anxious whenever I feel anything around my chest area and my mind always goes back to that day. It wasn't particularly dramatic or traumatic, just an event.
I've always struggled to properly move on but something about having read this quote today seems like I'm being told, it's time to move forward.
After years of being a patient in psychotherapy , I don’t believe I have a “purpose” as such. Just becoming more me and simplifying life is what counts to me. My personal missions change every several years . No particular purpose. Always learning and discovering new ways of being.
