Interesting how we all see differently and how it affects relationships. I see connections on a big picture scale. My husband notices and recalls details. Often this works well as we can synthesise both points of view. But sometimes it's irritating when we talk about the same thing at cross purposes!

I love this post, mainly because I find myself doing a lot of the same - looking at the world and finding connections that may or may not be obvious to others (sometimes for good reason :-))
Clearly part of my Ikigai journey was to find the Ikiquest blog :-)
I eat with either hand. If I’m not stopping to eat while doing something with my right hand, I’ll eat with it. If next to another, I’ll eat with whichever hand won’t bump elbows. I like to observe the feeling of the motion either way.
I summarize what people tell me (when in conversation, as long as I’m not listening without comment). They love it. I no longer bite my tongue after doing it. It inevitably helps them organize their thoughts.
Good observation David....great that you have a coach. My coach is Jesus Christ, The Apostles, Scripture and the Magisterium of the Church and yes other wise people in history with philosophies like Ikigai and others in added search of the Truth and Wisdom. The ultimate difference is destination. Without a clear destination we are all floating in the ocean of life, surviving storms, enjoying sunsets, resupplying our ship, meeting others but that's most of it. I want that destination and not simply to be one with oneself that too can be achieved on board the ship. We are truly built by our Creator and also our MO and experiences in a certain way...like being curious. I too would like to know the WHY with people and in life. It helps humans to evolve not simply make sure someone is eating although as a mother and grandmother that is also important with kids. Enjoy the day and continue to be curious....getting ready for Daily Catholic Mass. Experiencing the WORD of God and receiving the Eucharist (Body of Jesus) is the height and essence of my life. It is the baseline and importance that drives my day for the WE not the ME that provides true JOY. Carpe Vitam.
I’ve always wondered why I eat left handed… I do not switch my fork from my left to my right when cutting food. Was I born that way? Or? As a very young child, I remember watching the move “The Great Escape” where US soldiers escaped from a German POW camp and were recaptured because they inadvertently reveal their identities as escapees; one being at a café and the Germans noticed how the US soldier though disguised switched hands while eating. That’s when I learned that Europeans do not switch hands when they are cutting their food (they keep the knife in the right hand and the fork in the left hand throughout the meal). From 1st to 3rd grade, I even wrote left handed until my teachers said, no, your penmanship is better with your right hand. But nobody noticed my left hand eating except my Mom, so I always sat at the left end of the dinner table to not bump arms into my siblings.

Loving this post. I’m a strong observer also.
Tho I might notice something unique, I don’t often share my curiosity with others. Their brains don’t work like that 😂
Sometimes subtle clues yield the most impactful outcomes.
