Realising we cannot know but are free to explore is liberating, David.

Liberating is a great word for it. 🙏🏻

The not knowing offered me the spark of hope in a world where evidence has shown I might not ever heal. Thank you David

I couldn’t help myself, I answered all three questions immediately: Knowing, Research, Knowledge. Then I went into a deep dive about how I learn new things and I realized that these three questions explain the difference between those who seek knowledge and those who have no desire to learn. I became excited about the first, and sad about the second. I surround myself with the first and avoid the second. Thanks for making me reflect/think.

This reminds me of a quote..."humility is the recognition of what you don't have; confidence is to respect what you do"...especially whilst navigating a move & first time travel to Asia while cultivating a deeper level of trust with the unknown. ♾️🙏

LOL! I just got a cup of tea after writing that & the tea tag quote reads..."personal growth lies within the unknown; courage permits you to explore this space." 🍵🤌

I like your thought around being like kids again. Childlike (not childish) is full of curiosity and humility and gratitude as well.
