Oh I haven't heard other people calling themselves a recovering perfectionist like myself! Same here. It takes work, including exposure therapy (like with your title), to keep letting go of it.
I enjoyed this piece and your own reflection shared in it. I wouldn't call myself a perfectionist because I still make mistakes. But sometimes I fear trying anew. I'd love to hear what you suggest in that case.
Kaizen as a personal practice has always helped me in such cases. Send me a note with some additional details and I would be better able to give you specific ideas.
The 80/20 Rule is important to spend most of the time engaged on 80% of the important stuff in our lives not 80% on the 20% thus losing valuable time we can’t get back! Perfection is a moving target 🎯 more important to strive towards excellence and be Holy as our Heavenly Father is Holy!
Could you please explain to me how to pronounce that iteration of perfectionist that you wrote on your title because I’m here breaking my brain trying to do it! 🤣
Now seriously, you’re on point as always. I have to always remind myself about letting go of perfectionism.

It does indeed. 🙏🏻

That Anne Lamott comment is a zinger!
Much of what she has written goes straight to my heart.

Thanks again and always!
It is a never ending battle though easier all the time.
