Nice to see the pics of a Spring snowfall and your smile ;) the calendar does not dictate the season as lines in our life are more of boundaries to be explored not hemmed in. We were taught to color within the lines as children...yet as adults do we not expand the picture and lines. Is the sky defined on a coloring sheet...the clouds or drawing another item in where there are no lines. "Every season is one of becoming, but not always one of blooming. We are on the Illinois/ Wisc border and got a good dumping as well. It was beautiful and wet. I didn't shovel but instead took a hike in the back 200 and had a fun snowball fetching bout with my dog. I was happy that I had picked up months of dog poop the day before in the yard and knowing it was likely the last of the white stuff, tried to enjoy it while it lasted. The forecast calls for a sunny 50 deg day on Thursday...I can wait patiently and happily as I know the warmth is coming. Cheers
I think that is where my biggest mindset shift has been the past 3 years. Be prepared for the unexpected. Embrace the Suck. See how it leads to growth, and who else I can help that just got what they did not expect.
When I sat down to be aware of it I was shocked to learn how often I was making my self unhappy with 'expectations.' Love your reflection and approach.
I miss winter. I loved to stomp and walk on the snowy pavement. The crunchy crunchy grating of snow under my winter boots really is very fascinating. It's as of I am crushing ice to be added to my special Halo Halo treat
I am also anticipating Spring and wondering if the tulips I planted last November before winters came are already sprouting.
I can't wait to be back in Wpg, CA to experience Spring

Sounds like a splendid approach Kurt. Warmth is coming!
"We expect certain things"
That jumped out at me for some reason David.

My tulips are up and covered in a layer of snow. They will be fine of course. Enjoy Spring Lydia!
Thanks. Enjoy your Spring too.
It brings new hopes. New beginnings. When a door shuts, another one opens. David
