Patience is a tricky one, David. I think I have been a mostly patient person much of my life, though I have recognized a tension between that and stretching, pushing limits, not settling into complacency. Especially when we become accustomed to getting things done. Then when they are not, we are challenged to accept the limitations of others around us, ourselves, or other factors we simply do not control yet, if ever.

A long game is a worthwhile game. The most, in fact. Being present every day in that long, beautiful journey.
Speaking of long games, perhaps the internet has moved on... but I've never forgotten this gem:

Grateful for God’s patience, generosity, wisdom, forgiveness and mercy. I’ve learned patience, balance and restraint in ikebana.
Amen!
It takes a lot of patience, courage and resilience to wait for something or someone, David.
As stated by Joyce Meyer, "Patience is not simply the ability to wait - it's how we behave while we're waiting."
